The AG Neovo monitors give us the flexibility we need to display multiple sources, while their robust design makes them a great fit for the demanding conditions at sea.

Fishing vessels operate in tough conditions, and their equipment must keep working through changing weather and sea states. In the wheelhouse, reliable access to visual information is essential for the crew to monitor onboard systems throughout their work.
For the newly built fishing vessel Bernt Oskar, IMES AS in Norway and Vest-El A/S in Denmark joined forces to deliver an integrated multi-screen monitoring installation tailored to the vessel’s needs.
The installation was carried out by Vest-El A/S, a Danish specialist in the sale, installation and service of maritime electrical and electronic systems, and a long-standing AG Neovo partner.

The wheelhouse needed a display system that could bring multiple information sources together, make efficient use of the available space, and withstand the physical demands of life at sea.
The key requirements were:
– Flexible monitoring: Display multiple input sources simultaneously across several screens.
– Durability: Withstand the harsh marine environment, including potential physical impacts in rough seas.
– Continuous operation: Support 24/7 use during vessel operations.
– Easy maintenance: Provide screen surfaces that are easy to clean.
AG Neovo’s QX Series was selected for its four-input split-screen functionality, 24/7 design and robust construction.
Each monitor can display up to four input sources simultaneously, while its metal housing and NeoV™ Optical Glass provide physical protection and make cleaning simple.
To manage the multi-screen installation, the project team integrated FMCS (Florvaag Monitor Control System) from Florvaag AS, a matrix- and software-based solution for monitor control. FMCS manages the signals and configures the monitors, allowing the crew to make full use of the QX Series’ display capabilities.
The installation comprises seven AG Neovo QX Series monitors in the vessel’s wheelhouse:
Florvaag’s FMCS handles monitor configuration and signal distribution. Combined with the QX Series’ four-input split-screen functionality, the system can display up to 28 source views across the seven monitors.

Aboard Bernt Oskar, the combination of AG Neovo’s QX Series and Florvaag’s FMCS gives the crew a flexible monitoring setup designed around the realities of working at sea:
The Bernt Oskar installation shows how AG Neovo’s QX Series and Florvaag’s FMCS work together to support multi-screen monitoring aboard a modern fishing vessel.
Through the collaboration between IMES AS, Vest-El A/S and Florvaag AS, the project brings flexible signal viewing, continuous operation and durable display design together in one integrated marine monitoring system.
