  Over 155 AG Neovo displays helping to train tomorrow's leaders. At a Glance - The Result Taking Online Learning Nationwide In 2006, Kapellmann's Education Centre (KED) trained and certified over 12,000 people. But, that is a paltry figure compared to the over 25 million who will soon know KED's name. Mexico's top IT-training centre, KED is also developer of the Ministry of Education's ambitious National Education Information System. This system was built on an innovative and award-winning learning platform: KED Online. Students, fortunate enough to study at KED centres, will learn through some of the latest and most innovative technologies, including AG Neovo E-Series displays. The Environment - Build it and They Will Come Founded in 1991, KED is a Microsoft Gold Certified Training Centre and three time winner of Microsoft's "Learning Solutions Technology Innovation Partner of the Year." Managing Director Max Kapellmann, who also sits on the board of the Microsoft Advisory Council for Partner Learning Solutions, says the reason for KED's success is simple: "Our success has come because of our complete commitment to building the best educational environment and experience through technology and innovation." The Opportunity - Hardware Matters The majority of learning, however, still occurs inside the classroom. "KED Online is one-half of the reason for our success," says José Antonio Jan-Camacho, KED Director of Operations. "The other half is the professionalism of our instruction and facilities. We upgrade 30% of our hardware every year to ensure our students have the most up-to-date equipment." The Solution - Learning from the Leader Jan-Camacho researched several off-the-shelf and professional solutions, but in the end he purchased AG Neovo E-Series displays for all 155 computer stations. "We tell our students to follow the lessons on screen carefully, and some do so-with a pen. Before we purchased the E-Series, we were ending up with too many damaged screens, which not only raised overhead, but hurt the image of the classrooms." KED will expand its system's capabilities to over 25 million students. They will be able to upload résumés, take IT assessment tests and receive qualification "ratings" for specific IT careers. The system will also allow the government and businesses to match graduating students with job opportunities. |
